Mike and Traci moved to the tip-of-the-mit area in 2020. We love exploring and checking out all the cool and fun things offered around the Straits.
We have learned and discovered so many interesting things and places, we decided we should share this information with the everyone.
While so much has been written about Mackinac Island, which is an incredible place to visit, we wanted to focus more on the less traveled places in and around Mackinaw City, the tip of the MI mitten, and of course the UP or upper peninsula of Michigan.
This web site is all about getting outdoors and having fun, no matter the season.
While you may have heard, it’s a popular question about the spelling and pronunciation of Mackinaw versus Mackinac. They are both pronounced the same, ending with …awe. Most places are using the nac spelling, like the bridge, the island, and the forts. The city and some local businesses decided to change it to be phonetically easier to say.
If you have ideas, for places you’d like to see covered, please let us know.
Thank you and enjoy!
